Introducting Nanamica FW21 Collection
10.01.21
After an almost twenty-year run as a designer for Helly Hansen in Japan, Eiichiro Homma teamed up with fellow designer Takashi Imaki to launch Nanamica in 2003. Known for combining menswear aesthetics with performance fabrics, the brand has used these technical materials to apply an enhanced level of functionality while maintaining a classic look for everyday wear. The company uses a selection of signature materials such as GORE-TEX, KODENSHI down, ALPHADRY, and COOLMAX to improve their garments’ performance while staying true to the Nanamica aesthetic.
A selection of styles from Nanamica’s FW21 collection are now available at The Darkside Initiative. This season’s collection is led by three jacket styles: the two-layer GORE-TEX Cruiser Jacket, which is inspired by the US Army ECWCS jacket, the taffeta Cruiser Jacket, and the quick-drying ALPHADRY Shirt Jacket. The jackets are joined by a heavyweight 13.5oz fleece hoodie and crewneck sweater, a CORDURA Ripstop cargo pant, a GORE-TEX cap, and a water-repellent two-way helmet bag.
